Elbaaha (GB) (Arazi), the dam of dual Group 1 winner Electrocutionist (Red
Ransom), will be offered at the 2006 Keeneland January Sale. The 11-year-old
mare is in foal to leading European sire Montjeu (Ire). She will be
consigned by Indian Creek Farm, who will act as agent.
Electrocutionist scored twice at the Group 1 level over the summer, most notably
in the Juddmonte International S. (Eng-G1) at York, as well as the Gran Premio
di Milano (Ity-G1). After his last start in the Canadian International S.
(Can-G1), in which he was placed third via disqualification, Godolphin acquired
him with sights set on another globetrotting campaign next year.
Out of French Group 3 heroine Gesedeh (Ire) (Ela-Mana-Mou), Elbaaha hails
from a distinguished female line that has continued to produce top performers.
This is the family of 2005 English classic winner Scorpion (Montjeu); English,
Irish and French champion Ardross (Run the Gantlet); Laroccha (Ire) (Sadler’s
Wells), a champion in the United Arab Emirates; German co-highweight juvenile
filly Royal Dubai (Dashing Blade); and Deutsches Derby (Ger-G1) victor Robertico
(Robellino).
