Inglis to offer yearlings with Hong Kong Group 1 relations

The William Inglis Company had ample reason to celebrate the results of
Sunday’s Hong Kong International Races, as the firm will consign relations to
three prominent horses from that meeting during their Australian Easter Yearling
Sale on April 18-20.

Darley Australia’s first-ever Easter draft of locally bred horses will
include an Elusive Quality half-sister to Hong Kong Cup (HK-G1) and World Series
Champion Vengeance of Rain (Zabeel). Sheikh Mohammed’s operation acquired the
horses’ dam, Blue Diamond S. (Aus-G1) winner Danelagh (Danehill), following
the victory of Dizelle, a full sister to Vengeance of Rain, in the AJC
Australian Oaks (Aus-G1) earlier this year. Darley also races three-year-old
half-brother Hachiman (Fusaichi Pegasus), now back in training after finishing
last of six in his Flemington debut last July. Danelagh is bound for her new
home at Darley at Jonabell in 2006 and has a return date in the shed with
Elusive Quality.

Arrowfield Stud is responsible for a half-brother to Hong Kong Mile (HK-G1)
hero Hat Trick (Sunday Silence) at the Easter sale. The colt is by French
Deputy, who stood at the stud this past spring, and, “has plenty of scope and
looks like he will get to the races early,” said Inglis Director Jonathan
D’Arcy.

Australian-bred horses filled the first four places in the Hong Kong Sprint
(HK-G1), and a Galileo (Ire) half-brother to runner-up Planet Ruler (Danehill)
is cataloged for the sale. The latter, a six-time winner in Hong Kong of $1.9
million, posted a victory over subsequent Sprint winner Natural Blitz in the
International Sprint Trial (HK-G2) on November 20.
