A field of nine has been entered to go a one-turn mile in Saturday’s $150,000 Comely
S. (G2) at Aqueduct, and PERFECT FOREST (Forestry) appears ready to make her
stakes debut. The Todd Pletcher-trained bay broke her maiden by 9 3/4 lengths at
Gulfstream Park in mid-January, then returned on
March 2 to take a one-other-than allowance by four lengths. She earned a
career-best 96 BRIS Speed rating and 102 BRIS Late Pace figure for her maiden
victory, and could make it three in a row here with Ramon Dominguez getting the
call.

BOCA GRANDE (A.P. Indy) will be looking to return to the form that enabled
her take the Demoiselle S. (G2) last season. That race, her lone stakes score,
came on Aqueduct’s main track going 1 1/8 miles, but she shortened up to seven
furlongs for her seasonal debut last out in the Forward Gal S. (G2). The dark
bay sophomore bobbled at the start of that event, never got into the race and
ended up beating just one at the finish. She may have needed that race off the
near four-month break and could show much more here for trainer Shug McGaughey.
Regular rider Mike Smith will be in the saddle.

WINNING POINT (Point Given) will be attempting to keep her unbeaten record
going while making her stakes debut here. The Edmond Gaudet charge will be
trying a track other than Laurel in here as well, having broken her maiden and
captured two allowances at that venue by 9 1/4 total lengths. She’s earned
triple-digit Late Pace figures for her allowance scores and appears ready to
move to the next level. She’ll be tough under regular pilot Luis Garcia.

DESIRE TO EXCEL (Mt. Livermore) posted the highest Speed figure of the field
when taking her maiden debut by a neck last April. She wasn’t seen again until
the summer, when she captured the Astoria S. and ran second in the Schuylerville
S. (G3). The chestnut miss took the rest of the year off, reappearing in the
Florida Oaks where she dueled for the lead early before tiring to finish fifth.
The Kelly Breen trainee probably needed that race off the long vacation and
could end up in the winner’s circle here with Jose Lezcano aboard.

FEE FI FO FUM (Giant’s Causeway) broke her maiden on the turf in February,
then ran third on the main track when making her stakes debut in the Bonnie Miss
S. (G2) last out. The James Jerkens-trained dark bay improved her numbers and
could challenge for it all while cutting back an eighth of a mile. LOST
ETIQUETTE (Lost Soldier), fifth in the Bonnie Miss most recently, has been
working well of late and could move forward to earn a share.

OFFICER IN PURSUIT (Officer) easily broke her maiden over Aqueduct’s inner
dirt in February, then captured the National Treasure S. in late March. She might not be fast enough to keep up
in her graded debut.
We’ll let her beat us. BARE DANCER (Cherokee Run) owns plenty of stakes
experience, but her numbers aren’t high enough for us to back. MY KITTY
(Catienus) has been beaten by others in here before.
