Super Majesty tops F-T Winter Mixed Sale off to strong start

SUPER MAJESTY, the 2015 Dogwood (G3) winner and earner of $166,760, brought a session-high $475,000 from Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm, agent for Baoma Corporation, at Monday’s opening session of the 2017 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale at the Newtown Paddocks in Lexington. Consigned by Darby Dan Farm, agent, Super Majesty toured the ring as Hip No. 238.

Sold as a broodmare prospect, the five-year-old Super Majesty is by Super Saver and out of the Canadian Grade 3 winner Gins Majesty, by Go for Gin. Super Majesty’s second dam is multiple stakes winner Lemhi Love, who reared Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) winner Dancing in Silks.

Millionaire SHE’S ALL IN, whose signature victory came in the 2012 Sixty Sails H. (G3), was gaveled down to RML, agent, for $325,000. Part of the Rockin Z Ranch dispersal consigned by Vinery Sales, agent, Hip 96 was offered in foal to Magna Graduate on an April 17 cover.

A 10-year-old by Include, She’s All In is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Peach Brew. Both were reared by Georgia Ok, by Hickory Ridge.

A total of 12 horses brought six figures on Monday as business was up across the board over 2016. At the end of trading, 164 horses changed hands for $4,702,300, an increase of 42.7 percent from last year’s corresponding session when 184 horses grossed $3,204,500. The session average increased 60.1 percent, from $17,905 to $28,673, while the the median rose 21.9 percent, from $8,000 to $9,750.
