While the biggest American Pharoah news focused upon his first winner, Monarch of Egypt at Naas, and his ensuing winner at Aqueduct, Maven, more of his juveniles have been named (or renamed) since our last list.

Before digging into the new names, other housekeeping on his first crop. The Wesley Ward-trained Tesorina placed third in her April 17 unveiling at Aqueduct, and stablemate Lady Delaware finished sixth in her career debut on the May 2 “Thurby” card at Churchill Downs. Sweet Melania was third for Todd Pletcher on the same day at Belmont Park, and her details are below since she was unnamed at the time of our previous report. South Saqqara was under consideration to make a Monday appearance at the Curragh, but Aidan O’Brien took him out at the final declaration stage.

The colt first called Good Fortune is renamed Pharoah King, and the filly hitherto named Album is now the clever Mia Pharoah. Each was profiled in the first American Pharoah names story.
