Ashado tops Cotillion


Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner ASHADO (Saint Ballado) is the one to
beat Saturday at Philadelphia Park in the $250,000 Cotillion H.
(G2). Nine sophomore fillies have been entered for the 1
1/16-mile main track test, and the Todd Pletcher-trained Ashado
is the 124-pound highweight and 8-5 favorite on the morning line.


The dark bay miss has also recorded wins in the Coaching Club
American Oaks (G1) and Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) this season as well
as placings in the Mother Goose S. (G1), Ashland S. (G1) and
Alabama S. (G1). A leading candidate for championship
three-year-old filly honors, Ashado will pick up a new pilot in
Eibar Coa.


Top challengers include multiple stakes winner and Delaware
Oaks (G2) runner-up ENDER’S SISTER (A.P. Indy) and Grade 3
heroine HE LOVES ME (Not for Love), who exits a third-place
finish in the Gazelle H. (G1).
