Littrell dies Thursday night


Viking Stud owner Rick Littrell died Thursday night at Saint Joseph Hospital
in Lexington, Kentucky, due to a blood clot in his lung. He
was 50.


Littrell owned and operated Viking Stud with his wife, Pam,
and their two sons, Joe and Mike, who worked as managers on the
farm. The family were regular consignors to sales and were
mainstays at the Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton auctions. Their
cliental includes Twin Hopes Farm, Lance Robinson and Jerry
Bailey.


Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home in Georgetown, Kentucky, on
Monday from 5-9 p.m. (EST). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11
a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery on Paris Pike.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Association.
