Lone Star Park Juvenile winner STORM SURGE (Storm Cat) heads a cast of six
juveniles entered for Friday’s $60,000 Sugar Bowl S. at Fair Grounds. Runner-up
in the Bashford Manor S. (G3), the Dallas Stewart-trained Storm Surge will carry
top weight of 122 pounds, including jockey Robby Albarado, in the six-furlong
test. He breaks from post 4.
RAZOR (Concorde’s Tune) will make his stakes debut for conditioner Steve
Asmussen off a pair of impressive victories. The chestnut colt broke his maiden
by 5 1/4 lengths two starts back at Churchill Downs and then defeated optional
claiming rivals by seven lengths in the Big Easy. Brian Hernandez Jr. has the
mount.
