Rockport Harbor favoring right hind foot

ROCKPORT HARBOR (Unbridled’s Song) was favoring his right hind foot on
Saturday morning, the same hoof he injured while winning the Remsen S. (G2) in
late November.

“Right now, I don’t consider this a big deal,” trainer John Servis said.
“It’s like an ingrown toenail in human terms. But when I come in Sunday morning
and there’s no improvement, then I’ll be upset.”

Rockport Harbor captured the Remsen to cap off an undefeated juvenile season,
but a horse ran up on him during the race, injuring his right hind leg. He went on to capture
the nine-furlong test by a neck, improving his lifetime mark to four-for-four, and has been preparing
in Hot Springs, Arkansas, for his sophomore debut
in next Saturday’s Rebel S. (G3) at Oaklawn Park.

“Right now, I’m still confident that Rocky will make the Rebel,” Servis said.
“We’re not sure how this happened. Rocky may have aggravated the injury in his
work (on Friday). We applied a poultice pad called animalintex and we are hoping
for the best. We’ll know a lot more tomorrow.”

About three weeks ago, Rockport Harbor bruised his left front foot, but the
gray was
back on the track within 48 hours after it turned out to be a minor injury.
