Lee Lewis’ PRIMARY SUSPECT (Hennessy) tracked in behind the pacesetting
favorite, Shake You Down (Montbrook), in Saturday’s $107,100
Toboggan H. (G3),
then moved farther outside and drew clear late to record a 1 1/4-length victory.
Trained by Mark Hennig, the four-year-old chestnut posted a final time of 1:09
2/5 under jockey Pablo Fragoso for the six-furlong, fast Aqueduct inner track
test.

Sent off the 7-2 third choice, Primary Suspect paid out $9.30 and $4.40 for
his win after show wagering was canceled due to a three-horse entry in the
six-horse field. Shake You Down, the 4-5 pick, was worth $3.30 and ended the 3-2
exacta that gave back $22.20. Houston’s Prayer (Houston) finished just a neck
back of second and was followed by Super Fuse (Lite the Fuse), Papua (Louis
Quatorze) and Jets Fan (Gold Token).

Primary Suspect moved his mark to 9-5-2-1 with $199,708 in lifetime earnings
now to his credit. He also garnered his first black-type win here after
finishing second in the Gallant Bob H. last season. The Kentucky bred is out of
the stakes winning Deb’s Honor (Affirmed), who is also the dam of an unraced
two-year-old colt named Solewisher (Dynaformer) and an unnamed yearling filly by
Swain (Ire).
