Today’s Topic: How well a horse works on a particular track is important
in evaluating its chances in future races there

In this article we are providing a little future information on the Kentucky
Derby (G1). BELLAMY ROAD (Concerto) was training at Churchill Downs prior to his
awesome performance at Aqueduct in the Wood Memorial (G1) in which he paid
$7.10. Our clocker at CD gave him a Grade A for his workout on April 3 in which
he commented: “Eye catching move for this Zito trainee coming off a huge win in
Florida. Went very easy all the way in fractions of :12, :24, :36 and :47 to the
wire with a strong last furlong of :11 flat!!! Eased on out around the turn
while off the rail to finish in :59.4. Looked like he loved the Churchill Downs
footing.”

We know where he is racing next and clearly the surface should only move him
up.
