Unbeaten LOST IN THE FOG (Lost Soldier) and champion FUNNY CIDE (Distorted
Humor) are among the top draws for a quartet of Grade 2 races on Saturday’s
Belmont S. (G1) undercard. Lost in the Fog tops a field of eight in the $200,000
Riva Ridge Breeders’ Cup S. (G2) for three-year-olds at seven furlongs, and Funny Cide will face eight opponents in the $250,000 Brooklyn H. (G2) over 1 1/8
miles. The $300,000 Just a Game Breeders’ Cup H. (G2) and $200,000 True North
Breeders’ Cup H. (G2) are also offered prior to the 137th running of the Belmont
Stakes.

A convincing winner of all six career starts, Lost in the Fog owns victories
in the Swale S. (G2) at Gulfstream Park, Bay Shore S. (G3) at Aqueduct and set a
new track record at Golden Gate Fields when capturing the six-furlong Golden
Bear Breeders’ Cup S. in 1:07 1/5 last out. Greg Gilchrist trains the exciting
dark bay, but regular rider Russell Baze won’t be able to take the mount due to
a broken collarbone. Edgar Prado will replace Baze in the saddle.

Multiple stakes winner GOING WILD (Golden Missile) returns to the sprint
ranks following unplaced showings in the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness (G1),
Gotham S. (G3) hero and Wood Memorial (G1) runner-up SURVIVALIST (Danzig)

victories over allowance and maiden rivals in Kentucky.

a fourth-place effort in his seasonal bow in the Pimlico Special (G1) last out. The
five-year-old gelding will have regular rider Santos and is the 119-pound
highweight. Grade 1 king EVENING ATTIRE (Black Tie Affair [Ire]) makes his
seven-year-old debut for trainer Pat Kelly, and Grade 1 winner GYGISTAR
(Prospector’s Music) enters the Brooklyn off a sharp score in the Westchester H.
