Last updated: 7/9/05 4:22 PM

Grade 1 winner Midas Eyes (Touch Gold) has been retired and will stand at
Mill Ridge Farm near Lexington, Kentucky. Trained by Bobby Frankel, he came within two-fifths of a second of setting a new
Saratoga track record when annexing the Forego H. (G1) last year, taking the
seven-furlong contest in 1:22 1/5.

“We feel he had tremendous talent and are thrilled to add him to our stallion
roster,” said Bayne Welker, director of stallion marketing at Mill Ridge.

Midas Eyes also prevailed in the Derby Trail S. (G1) and the Swale S. (G3),
winning the latter by 9 1/4 lengths in 1:21, breaking the previous stakes record
set by Seeking the Gold in 1988. The five-year-old bay also placed in the Cigar Mile H. (G1), Frank J. DeFrancis
Memorial Dash S. (G1), Malibu S. (G1) and Riva Ridge Breeders’ Cup S. (G2). He
retires with a record of 14-5-4-1 and earnings of $616,528.

Midas Eyes’ stud fee will be announced at a later date.
