Grade 1 winner SENSE OF STYLE (Thunder Gulch), second by a nose when making
her seasonal bow in the Revidere S. last out, headlines a field of eight
sophomore fillies entered for Saturday’s $250,000 Prioress S. (G1) at Belmont
Park. Trainer Patrick Biancone announced that he will keep last year’s Matron S.
(G1) and Spinaway S. (G2) winner at shorter distances this year, and Sense of
Style faces a talented group of sprinters in Saturday’s six-furlong feature.

BURNISH (Menifee) enters the Prioress off a pair of impressive victories at
the distance, including a two-length triumph in the Miss Preakness S. (G3) most
recently. Grade 3 winner MADDALENA (Good and Tough), who runs coupled with Sense
of Style but is trained by Todd Pletcher, must be respected. Unbeaten CONTRAST
(Unbridled), who is out of champion sprinter and 1990 Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1)
winner Safely Kept (Horatius), will make her stakes bow off a pair of daylight
victories. TALENTED (Fusaichi Pegasus) exits a six-length tally in the Twist
Afleet S. after breaking her maiden by eight lengths.

R FAST LADY (Artax) has traveled to New York off victories in the Stonerside
S. and Winner’s Foundation Sprint S. for conditioner Eoin Harty. Multiple stakes
winner ACEY DEUCEY (Abaginone) captured the Comely S. (G2) two starts back and
the New York-bred will have regular rider Diane Nelson in the saddle.

The Prioress lineup, from inside out, is Sense of Style, Edgar Prado, 121; R
Fast Lady, Richard Migliore, 119; Acey Deucey, 119; Maddalena, Eibar Coa, 119;
Contrast, Stewart Elliott, 117; Burnish, Rafael Bejarano, 119; SLEW MOTION (Slew
Gin Fizz), Rudy Rodriguez, 115; and Talented, Javier Castellano, 115.
