Hip No. 335, a bay colt by Suave Prospect, worked three furlongs in :34 3/5
on Thursday at the second under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales
Company’s Spring Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale in Ocala, Florida. Consigned by
Lexmar, agent, the Florida-bred colt, born on March 23, is out of the unraced mare Welsh
Treat (Pembroke) and comes from the same female family as multiple stakes winner Conradley (Allen’s Prospect).

A chestnut colt by Salt Lake traveled the quickest furlong workout, going
the distance in :10 1/5. Consigned by Ricky Leppala, agent for Ricky Leppala and
W.D. North, as Hip 595, the Kentucky-bred is out of the winning Marquetry mare
Country Marquet, who was produced from multiple stakes winner Country Chase
(Pursuit). The
March 24 colt was purchased at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale for
$32,000.

Two juveniles tied the fastest quarter in :21 1/5. The first, Hip 450, is a
bay colt by Lucky Lionel and consigned by Nick de Meric, agent. The
Florida-bred is out of the winning Auntie Bellum (Dixie Brass). The March 13
colt’s second dam is the stakes-placed winner Harry’s Ack (Ack Ack). The second
two-year-old to cover two furlongs in :21 1/5 was Hip 482, a dark bay filly by
Capote named TICKET TO SEATTLE. Consigned by de Meric, agent for
Whisper Hill Farm, the Kentucky-bred filly is out of the unraced Dayjur mare
Bethany, who is a half-sister to 1996 Travers S. (G1) hero and noted sire Will’s
Way (Easy Goer) as well as 1988 Ashland S. (G1) victress and Kentucky Oaks (G1)
third-place runner Willa on the Move
(Assert [Ire]). The February 15 filly RNA’d at the Keeneland September
sale for $45,000.

The first session of the sale will begin on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
(EDT).
