Wild Fit to miss Kentucky Oaks

Grade 1 heroine WILD FIT (Wild Wonder) will miss the May 5 Kentucky Oaks (G1)
at Churchill Downs due to an infection. Trainer Patrick Biancone told Daily
Racing Form
the three-year-old filly has been sent to Coolmore’s Ashford Stud
near Versailles, Kentucky, where she will be turned out for about 30 days.

Wild Fit, who finished second in the February 11 Las Virgenes S. (G2) and
third in the March 12 Santa Anita Oaks (G1), was the 8-1 second choice in
the third and final Kentucky Oaks Future Wager, which closed Sunday.

The Del Mar Debutante S. (G1) winner closed out her juvenile campaign with a fast-closing
second to
eventual champion Folklore (Tiznow) in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1).
The gray filly will head to the sidelines with a
record of 6-2-3-1, $518,600.

Wild Fit was sold for $3 million to Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith
at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November Mixed Sale.
