Multiple stakes winner AREYOUTALKINTOME (Smokester) headlines a field of
eight in Saturday’s $100,000 Los Angeles Times H. (G3) at Hollywood Park. The
five-year-old exits a solid second in the Tiznow S. over this same surface
despite enduring some bumping at the eighth pole. He earned a 102 BRIS Speed
rating in that race and figures to improve with a cut back in distance to six
furlongs. Without much pace to deal with in the race, the Doug O’Neill charge
could likely wire this one under Patrick Valenzuela.

CIGAR PAL (Benchmark) has annexed his last three since switching to trainer
Julio Canani. He owns one win in two starts at Hollywood and has good late speed,
which should put him in contention in the late stages. David Flores will ride.

THUNDER TOUCH (Gulch) is accomplished at six furlongs, winning four of nine
starts at the distance. However, the five-year-old chestnut will be making his
first start of the year as well as making his first start for trainer Vladmir
Cerin. Give him a race, but keep in mind for the gimmicks.

OCEANUS (Brz) (Rainbow Corner [GB]) has the best late pace of the group, earning
nine consecutive century-topping BRIS Late Pace ratings, including a 107 when he
got up for third in the Potrero Grande Breeders’ Cup H. (G2) last out. The
seven-year-old veteran might need more room than the six furlongs allotted to
him on Saturday and will not have much of a pace to chase after, but still consider for
the exotics.

SIREN LURE (Joyeux Danseur) enjoyed a successful streak on the turf, but now
makes a questionable switch to the main track. The Art Sherman-conditioned
gelding captured the Daytona H. two back after it was transferred off the turf
to the wet-fast main surface and could use a race to re-acclimatize himself. PURE AS
GOLD (Stolen Gold) began a three-race tear once switching to the turf in early
March, but like Siren Lure, makes a questionable return to the main track.

PRORUNNER (Tejano Run) has excelled in eight starts at this distance,
capturing four of those while hitting the board another three, and could be one
to watch in his graded stakes debut. SECRET RIDGE (Brz) (Choctaw Ridge) finished
a solid fifth in his North American debut last out and has room to improve for
trainer Paulo Lobo.
