Saturday’s $300,000 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Breeders’ Cup H. (G2) is an extremely
wide-open event, with horses from New York, California, Kentucky, Illinois and
Florida, as well as two locally based runners, competing in the 1 1/8-mile test.

GOULDINGS GREEN (Charismatic) won the Hanshin Cup H. (G3) (via
disqualification) at Arlington Park and the Alysheba S. at Churchill Downs after
finishing a troubled third in the April 8 Oaklawn H. (G2). The Anthony
Reinstedler trainee brings good form into this event and consistently earns
triple-digit BRIS Speed and Late Pace ratings. The five-year-old usually stalks
the early pace and is well drawn on the rail for a ground saving trip around the
first turn. He rates a slight nod.

ALUMNI HALL (A.P. Indy) most recently ran second in the Eclipse S. (Can-G3)
at Woodbine and the Ben Ali S. (G3) at Keeneland. He consistently earns
triple-digit Late Pace ratings and has won seven of 14 starts at this distance.
The Neil Howard-trained seven-year-old projects an outside stalking trip and
should be considered for a top-three placing.

GOOD REWARD (Storm Cat), a multiple Grade 1 winner on the turf, exits a close
seventh-place effort in the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic S. (G1) and a third in
the Maker’s Mark Mile S. (G2). The bay holds a class edge but may
be better on the grass. The five-year-old, trained by Shug McGaughey, will have to work out a trip from the far outside
post position.

The speedy MASTER COMMAND (A.P. Indy) and MAYAN KING (Stephen Got Even)
figure to be in the mix early. The former, trained by Todd Pletcher, exits a
strong, wire-to-wire victory in the nine-furlong William Donald Schaefer H.
(G3). He gets a rider change to Rafael Bejarano and must be respected. The
latter comes off a resounding, front-running 1 1/16-mile score at Belmont Park,
where he earned a
111 Late Pace and a 109 Speed rating. The talented
but lightly raced four-year-old will be seeking his first victory outside New
York in this spot.

National Jockey Club H. (G3) winner THREE HOUR NAP (Afternoon Deelites)
finished a close third in the Hanshin. He likely will attempt to stalk the early
running and could factor for a share with improvement.

SIPHON CITY (Siphon [Brz]) and CONGRATS (A.P. Indy), one-two in the Memorial Day
H. (G3) at Calder, are worth a second look. The pair dueled through the stretch
last out and have some upset possibilities. REAL DANDY (Yankee Victor), a deep
closer trained by Steve Asmussen, is our longshot special. The bay could come
running late for all the marbles.

The Doug O’Neill-trained SKIPASLEW (Skip Away) figures to improve off his
seasonal debut, a fading third in a minor stakes race at Hollywood Park.
Otherwise, why would he show up here?

WAYZATA BAY (Roar), COURTHOUSE (Doneraile Court) and SUR SANDPIT (Sandpit [Brz]),
the top three finishers, respectively, in the Jim Rasmussen Memorial S., are all
hard to recommend against the out-of-town invaders.
