Tattersalls announced the appointment of two new overseas representatives,
with George Kontis taking on the role in Greece and Jeremy Nelson becoming
Tattersalls’ first representative in South Africa. Kontis, a television
journalist who works for the Greek television station ALPHA TV, both owns horses
and assists in the running of the family stud farm, while Nelson operates under
the banner of the South African Bloodstock Agency, set up by his father in 1934.
Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said,

“We are delighted that both George Kontis and Jeremy Nelson have joined
Tattersalls’ extensive team of overseas representatives. Greece and South Africa
are increasingly important markets for us and with the assistance of both George
and Jeremy, we look forward to welcoming increasing numbers of buyers to
Tattersalls from both countries in the future.”
