A competitive group of 11 three-year-old fillies will line up for Saturday’s
$150,000 Mrs. Revere S. (G2) at Churchill Downs. The 1 1/16-mile grass test
features the first three finishers from the Valley View S. (G3) at Keeneland,
which was run on Polytrack after originally being scheduled for the turf, and
the top three from the Martha Washington Breeders’ Cup S. at Laurel Park.

MERIBEL (Peaks and Valleys) and PRECIOUS KITTEN (Catienus) are the only two
horses that ran in both races. Precious Kitten defeated Meribel by a neck in the
grassy Martha Washington, and Meribel then turned the tables on her rival by a half-length in the Valley View. Meribel, a deep closer trained by Christophe Clement,
will be ridden by Javier Castellano. Rafael Bejarano retains the mount on
Precious Kitten, who will be making her first start for trainer Bobby Frankel.

Other contenders include Boiling Springs S. (G3) queen QUITE A BRIDE (Stormy
Atlantic), a front-running winner of the Pebbles S. at Belmont Park in her last
start, and BROWNIE POINTS (Forest Wildcat), who comes off back-to-back stakes
victories on the turf.

The Todd Pletcher-trained J’RAY (Distant View), who finished a close sixth in
the Valley View, and GASIA (Silver Deputy), a Larry Jones-conditioned multiple stakes winner who ran third in the Martha Washington, are the sleepers.

The field, in post position order with jockeys and weights, is Meribel, 117; GOLDIE ROSE
(Formal Gold), Alonso Quinonez, 117; Gasia, Eddie Castro, 117; Brownie Points, Luis Quinonez,
119; BRIDGE GAME (Giant’s Causeway), Mark Guidry, 117; GOTTAH PENNY
(Stravinsky), Willie Martinez, 117; J’Ray, Cavil Borel, 117; Precious Kitten,
117; MAY NIGHT
(Gulch), Robby Albarado, 117; WARRIOR GIRL (War Chant), Randall Toups, 117; and Quite a
Bride, Cornelio Velasquez, 121.
