A compact group of five two-year-old fillies will go postward in the $100,000
Tempted S. (G3) at Aqueduct on Friday. The Shug McGaughey-trained FIVE STAR
DAYDREAM (Five Star Day) has impressed since her debut and looks the one to beat
in here. Purchased for $250,000 earlier this year, the bay miss has reeled off
three consecutive open-length tallies following her runner-up debut and will be
plenty tough with anything resembling her best. Edgar Prado, who has been aboard
for all four starts, will pilot once again.

SUCCESSFUL OUTLOOK (Orientate) made a smart debut at Belmont when easily
handling maiden foes, and now steps up to stakes company for Scott Blasi. The
chestnut lass is well drawn on the rail and has a wealth of early speed at her
disposal, leading us to believe that she’ll be the one to catch under John
Velazquez. If the March foal improves off her debut and appreciates the extra
furlong, she has every right to challenge for the top prize.

Trainer Michael Trombetta has a pair of Maryland shippers entered for this
affair, headed by the unbeaten SPECTACULAR MALIBU (Malibu Moon). The gray filly
was a sharp maiden winner and followed that up with a dominant effort in the
Maryland Millions Lassie S., taking over in the lane to win going away. The miss
steps up to graded company in this spot but is not facing the deepest field ever
assembled, leading us to believe that she could surprise with her best. Cornelio
Velasquez will ride the filly.

CHANGEISGONNACOME (Cherokee Run), the other Trombetta trainee, captured the
P. G. Johnson S. two prior over subsequent Matron S. (G1) victress Meadow Breeze
(Meadowlake) before a lackluster effort last out. The bay is unbeaten from her
two main track efforts and is not without a shot at a graded placing, although
we don’t like her chances to win. Eibar Coa has the riding assignment.

TELL IT AS IT IS (Chester House) won an off-the-turf maiden race in Canada
and steps up a few rungs on the class ladder in here. Conditioned by James
Smith, the bay was impressive on that occasion, breaking tardily before circling
the field with a powerful stretch run. That same move likely won’t find the miss
in the winner’s circle following the race, but her chance for a top-three placing
is well within reach.
