COTTON BLOSSOM (Broken Vow) will invade Oaklawn Park off a sharp two-length
score in the Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay Downs, and Todd Pletcher’s main man, John
Velazquez, will be in for the mount in Friday’s $250,000 Fantasy S. (G2). A
Grade 3 winner, Cotton Blossom turned in a pair of top-class placings last
season, finishing
second in the Spinaway S. (G1) and third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies
(G1), before receiving a lengthy vacation, and she returned in stellar form in
the March 17 Florida Oaks.

The Dogwood Stable colorbearer won’t face the stiffest competition in the 1
1/16-mile Fantasy, and we expect a strong showing in her final tune-up for the
May 4 Kentucky Oaks (G1).

HIGH HEELS (E Dubai) rallied well for runner-up honors in the Honeybee S.
last time out,
and she’s run well in both starts at Oaklawn this year for Gary Hartlage. The
late runner finished fifth in the Silverbulletday S. (G3) at Fair Grounds two starts back, but
there was no pace in that event and we’ll throw that effort out. There will be
much more speed in Friday’s field, and the improving High Heels will be saving
ground from the rail with jockey Joe Johnson. We’ll tab her to complete the
exacta at decent odds.

DEVIL HOUSE (Chester House) romped to a five-length triumph in the Martha
Washington S. two back, but she faltered last time in the Honeybee, fading to
fifth as the favorite. The Terry Gestes charge shows a nice five-furlong breeze
in preparation for this event, and she displayed a winning attitude prior to her
last, capturing five straight races. Devil House will be forwardly placed under
Terry Thompson and looks capable of holding for part.

CASH INCLUDED (Include) captured the Oak Leaf Breeders’ Cup S. (G1) before
finishing fifth as the 5-2 second choice in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies,
but the dark bay miss has not gone on in her two starts at three, finishing a
non-threatening fourth in the Las Virgenes S. (G1) and a well-beaten third in
the Santa Anita Oaks (G1). She was facing top rivals in both starts, but we’ll
look for a more encouraging showing from the Craig Dollase runner before
endorsing her chances.

SWIFT TEMPER (Giant’s Causeway) will be running late for Bobby Barnett, but
her BRIS Speed ratings look too low for us to recommend. TIME’S MISTRESS (Mr.
Greeley) posted a good win on the front end in the Honeybee, but she’ll face a
difficult pace scenario and will have a hard time duplicating that
result.

JAY’S PRINCESS (Syncline) will likely be winging it from the start, but the
sprinter probably won’t sustain her speed in her two-turn debut. TENSAS YUCATAN (Ide) steps up to face
open rivals after facing Louisiana-bred company in her first three outings.
