“Stars of Tomorrow I,” the first of two days devoted to
two-year-olds, kicks off the 21-day Churchill Downs Fall Meet on Sunday. The
11-race card exclusively for two-year-olds is highlighted by the $150,000
Iroquois S. (G3) and the $150,000 Pocahontas S. (G3) for fillies.

The 118th Fall Meet continues through November 24, and racing will be
conducted Wednesdays through Sundays, with the exception of a special Election
Day program on November 6. Regular post time is 12:40 p.m. (ET), with the
exception of Thanksgiving weekend, when racing commences at 11:30 a.m.

The stakes schedule consists of 15 black-type events worth a record $2.95
million. The Thanksgiving weekend celebration features five major stakes races.
It begins with the $300,000 Falls City H. (G2) on November 22, and continues
with the $500,000 Clark H. (G2) and $200,000 River City H. (G3) on November 23.
The closing day “Stars of Tomorrow II” program on November 24 features the
$250,000 Kentucky Jockey Club S. (G2) and the $250,000 Golden Rod S. (G2) for
fillies.

Other important events during the 21-day stand include the $200,000 Chilukki
S. (G2) and the $200,000 Ack Ack H. (G3) on November 3, and the $150,000 Mrs.
Revere S. (G2) on November 10.

The meet will include two new special events: the “Halfway to Derby Party” on
November 3, and the two-day “Derby Collector’s Weekend” on November 10-11.

Jockey Club Suites are available for rental each day of the meet, and special
“Suite Sunday” rates will be in effect throughout the meet. On those days a
Jockey Club Suite for 12 can be rented for $880, complete with a food package
and bar. Individuals can be added at a cost of $65 per person. Additional
information and reservations can be made by calling (502) 636-4450.
