Thirteen juveniles will enter the gate for the $100,000 Hollywood Prevue S.
(G3) at Hollywood Park on Thursday. INTO MISCHIEF (Harlan’s Holiday) was a
winner at first asking for trainer Richard Mandella last month at Oak Tree. In that 6 1/2-furlong
maiden over Santa Anita’s Cushion Track, he beat his
nearest rival by 2 1/2 lengths. Note that the third-place finisher, Wind’s Legacy (Millennium Wind),
came right back to break his maiden. Into Mischief enters his stakes debut in
grand order, as evidenced by his bullet six-furlong drill in 1:11 2/5 on November 13. Victor Espinoza will ride.

MASSIVE DRAMA (Kafwain) scored a 101 BRIS Speed rating when winning
first time out at Monmouth Park on Breeders’ Cup Friday. The Bob Baffert charge has been turning
in consistently impressive works and looks to be a threat with Kent Desormeaux
aboard.

MEAL PENALTY (Tale of the Cat) is undefeated in two starts, his last against
allowance foes at Keeneland. The Todd Pletcher trainee has been looking sharp
and will carry Rafael Bejarano for this seven-furlong contest.

COURAGEOUS SON (He’s Tops) won big at first asking at the maiden claiming
level in June and then put in a
couple of nice listed stakes-placings before dominating again last out versus
allowance company, this time by 8 1/2 lengths. Tyler Baze picks up the mount aboard the Jim Penney-conditioned dark bay,
who will be making his first start away from Emerald Downs. BOB BLACK JACK
(Stormy Jack) will be coming off a nearly three-month layoff after breaking his maiden in
a six-furlong sprint over Del Mar’s Polytrack. In his first outing, he managed
to run second to subsequent stakes winner Topper Shopper (Old Topper).

Grade 2-placed SKY CAPE (Najran) just missed in his previous two appearances, the Harvest
Futurity and Pinjara S., and could improve with the addition of blinkers. The
Doug O’Neill-trained LARRYS REVENGE (Vindication) held third when making his
public debut and then improved off that effort to post
a 5 1/2-length victory against maiden rivals at Oak Tree. RED HOT FLAME (Malek
[Chi]) moved between rivals in the stretch of a 4 1/2-furlong dash here in May
to pick up a one-length score. He is unraced in the six months since then,
however, and we will have to see if trainer Mike Harrington can bring him back
to the winner’s circle.

D. DOUBLE YOU (Lion Hearted) went undefeated in his first two attempts before
coming home fourth in the Jack Goodman S. at Oak Tree. Mike Smith, who is
winning at a pretty good clip so far for the Hollywood meet, will be aboard.
SPINNING SOUND (Ire) (Spinning World) broke his maiden over the Polytrack at
Lingfield in July and will be making his first start since then in his U.S. debut. We will go elsewhere with our money.
Note that both D. Double You and Spinning Sound are cross-entered to Friday’s
Generous S. (G3) on the turf.

RUN BROTHER RON (Perfect Mandate) is all speed and should be found among the
early leaders. We don’t see this as a benefit here, though, and will bet against.
REEL PRIME (Volponi) broke his maiden in his seventh attempt last out. We will
look elsewhere. DREWTHEGENTLEMAN (Yankee Gentleman) won his first career race,
but has yet to produce quality results since then.
