The Magic Millions National Sale received a
boost on Wednesday when it was announced that 41 weanlings from Swettenham Stud
would be added to the sale.
Sires represented in the Swettenham draft include Anabaa, Danehill Dancer,
Dehere, Elusive Quality, Encosta de Lago, Exceed and Excel, Hussonet,
Johannesburg, Redoute’s Choice and Royal Academy. Magic Millions Managing
Director David Chester is pleased with the quality of the weanlings slated for
the sale.
“Many of these weanlings would be pin-up youngsters at any sale in the
world,” Chester said. “Everyone knows the Sangster family has developed a number
of great Thoroughbred families and these weanlings represent a number of them.
Vendors and buyers alike know that the National Sale is now the premier breeding
stock sale of the Southern Hemisphere. Whether it’s a yearling, a weanling, a
race filly or broodmare, the quality lots will hit the buyers thick and fast.”
