Defending champ HYSTERICALADY (Distorted Humor) drew the rail in the $300,000
Humana Distaff S. (G1) at Churchill on Saturday, and although the five-year-old
is the class of the lot, we feel that she may be bit a vulnerable and will try
to top her in here.

MISS MACY SUE (Trippi) is a very talented sprinter and won her only try over
this track, so we’ll side with the Florida-bred on this occasion. Conditioned
by Kelly von Hemel, the dark bay mare had a solid 2007 campaign, bagging five
wins from seven starts and a third in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. A
facile allowance winner in advance of this, the five-year-old has smoked two
bullets in preparation for this and should be in the mix from the outset under Eusebio Razo, Jr.

SUGAR SWIRL (Touch Gold) has dominated her foes in four straight, starting
with a romp in the Very Subtle S. over this oval. The surging
chestnut is four for five at this distance and has stepped her game to a new
level as of late for Brian Lynch, so it would be foolish not to include her in all of your
wagers under Javier Castellano. The stalker will be ultra-tough if a fast pace
ensues.

Hystericalady was a smart winner of the Azeri S. (G3) last out for Jerry
Hollendorfer and would be no surprise in the winner’s circle with
her best effort. The classy chestnut has four wins from her last five dirt
efforts, with the lone setback coming in a fine runner-up showing in the
Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1). We don’t like the way that she skipped the Apple
Blossom H. (G1) at Oaklawn, as that was to be her major spring goal, and the
gaps in her worktab might suggest that she is not at the same level as she was
in 2007. We could be way off-base, but we’ll just use her in the gimmicks.

Stakes heroine GRAEME SIX (Graeme Hall), who finished second in the Prioress
S. (G1) last summer, has run off two consecutive facile wins against solid
company this year and should make some noise in this field. The improving Tom
Amoss charge has excellent tactical speed and shows a win and a second over this
surface, so we would recommend using her in the exotics at a nice price. Julien
Leparoux will be in the irons.

Multiple Grade 2 vixen MIRACULOUS MISS (Mr. Greeley) is a fast-closing filly
who will need ample early speed to set up her strong late rush for trainer Steve Klesaris. The chestnut five-year-old is unraced this year, and was last seen
finishing a commendable third in the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash S. (G1) at Laurel
versus the boys. We’ll move the mare up some if it gets wet, but she is still
best used on the bottom of the gimmicks due to her not having crossed the finish line first
since September of 2006.

CHANGE UP (Distorted Humor) has been first or second in five of her six
outings at this venue for Steve Margolis, but the chestnut will likely be outrun
by this bunch if they live up to their past form. This filly, who will be ridden
by Kent Desormeaux, will need a few of the top ones to misfire. BARONESS
THATCHER (Johannesburg) was second to Sugar Swirl in the Shirley Jones H. (G2)
last out but will need a decent amount of improvement to be a factor in this field.

We are taking a firm stand against 124-pound highweight INTANGAROO (Orientate), who has
never raced on dirt and looks like a synthetic specialist.
