An evenly matched field of eight fillies and mares will travel 1 1/16 miles
over the Monmouth Park turf in Saturday’s $150,000 Eatontown H. (G3). There’s
far from a standout in the field, and we’ll tab BEATRIX KIDDO (Fr) (Victory Note)
for the win in this one. The Robert Ribaudo charge displayed useful European
form prior to coming to the states, never finishing worse than fifth while
placing in a Group 3 test in nine tries. The bay four-year-old put in a solid
run against a talented allowance field to just miss at Aqueduct in late April,
and any improvement off of that showing would put her squarely in the mix under
Eddie Castro in this. It should be noted that the lass earned a superb 111 BRIS
Late Pace figure last out.

We think CHESTORIA (Chester House) is primed for a big showing in her third
start off the bench for trainer William Badgett. The dark bay filly displayed a
good deal of ability as a sophomore and juvenile, finishing a close fifth in the
Garden City S. (G1) in her three-year-old finale. A sharp winner in her seasonal
debut, the Empire State-bred was a useful third to a pair of nice ones last out
and will be heard from with minor improvement. Daniel Centeno will guide the
four-year-old.

MIRACLE MOMENT (Chester House) has not raced since a poor showing in the Long
Island H. (G2) last fall at Aqueduct but has run well when fresh in the past for
conditioner Barclay Tagg. The five-year-old mare has yet to break through with
her initial stakes win but has an abundance of early foot to use, which always
can be viewed as a commodity over this lawn. The bay Kentucky-bred isn’t the classiest
of turf distaffers, but if she’s left alone with a tepid pace, she could get
brave beneath Pablo Fragoso.

MEDLEY (GB) (Danehill Dancer) just missed to SOCIAL QUEEN (Dynaformer) in the
Politely S. over this course last out and appears to be a major threat once
again for Christophe Clement. The stakes-winning chestnut ranks first in BRIS
Prime Power (155.7), adds blinkers and hails from a potent jockey/trainer
combination. Joe Bravo will guide the four-year-old. Social Queen has lost just
once from four career turf tries, all over this course, and earned a lifetime
best BRIS Speed number most recently. The bay filly has won four of her last six
tries overall and could improve in her second off the shelf, so the
Kentucky-bred is yet another who makes sense in this group.

MADDY’S HEART (Lion Hearted) is an honest horse who puts forth relatively
the same effort each time out for Timothy Hills. The dark bay Maryland-bred was
last seen finishing a stubborn fourth in the Politely, and a similar finish
seems likely under Carlos Marquez Jr. CZARINA’S GIRL (Unbridled Jet) is making
a huge jump from an allowance turf sprint to this, and it would be difficult for
us to include the six-year-old, who has but one career win on the sod.

MONTECITO (GB) (Montjeu [Ire]) has never given the impression of a graded
stakes performer and will not be suggested in this affair.
