Last updated: 10/22/08 10:39 PM

Baden-Baden’s three-day Autumn Mixed Sale begins Thursday and will feature a
421-strong catalog of  foals, yearlings, two-year-olds, horses in and out
of training and broodmares to complement the Racing Festival at the local track.

Adding to the list of high-profile graduates such as Group 3 heroine Dalicia
(Ger) (Acatenango), who set a sale record at 400,000
three years ago, and Grade 2 queen Noble Stella (Ger) (Monsun) over the past 12
months has been Konig Turf (Big Shuffle), who supplemented his previous wins in
the Europa Meile (Ger-G2) and Hamburger Meile (Ger-G3) with success in the Prix
Edmond Blanc (Fr-G3), as well as the smart juvenile filly Illiana (Tertullian),
who provided a handsome return on the 5,000
paid for her last year when taking the Oppenheim-Rennen.

Catalog and updates for the sale are available at www.bbag-sales.de.

Goffs will also launch its two-day Horses in Training and Autumn Yearling
Sale on Thursday. Graduates of this sale to have flown the flag over the past 12
months include Flying Five S. (Ire-G3) winner Look Busy (Danetime), who was
purchased for just 7,500 two years ago, and
Royal Whip S. (Ire-G2) runner-up Alarazi (Spectrum).

The latter emanated from His Highness The Aga Khan’s sought-after draft and
there are several cast-offs from the famous breeder on offer again this year.
All are consigned by John Oxx, while fellow trainers selling notable lots
include Jim Bolger, Dermot Weld, Kevin Prendergast and Michael Halford.

“Goffs Horses in Training Sale is a serious source of Flat and National Hunt
winners,” Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said. “The Autumn Yearling Sale
represents incredible quality and value and is sure to unearth some stars of the
future.”
