Preakness (G1) heroine RACHEL ALEXANDRA (Medaglia d’Oro) will make her next
start in the $300,000 Mother Goose S. (G1) at Belmont Park on June 27. The Steve
Asmussen-trained filly is expected to arrive at Belmont Park on Tuesday.

Last seen recording a one-length triumph over males in the 1 3/16-mile
Preakness on May 16, Rachel Alexandra will cut back to nine furlongs and make
her first start against fillies since winning the May 1 Kentucky Oaks (G1) by a
record 20
1/4 lengths.

“Rachel is rested, healthy and ready to run,” co-owner Jess Jackson said. “On
Monday, she turned in a very strong six-furlong work galloping out seven
furlongs around the clubhouse turn in 1:24.80.”

The dark bay lass will bring a six-race, stakes-winning streak into the
Mother Goose. She concluded her juvenile campaign with a comfortable score in
the Golden Rod S. (G2) and recorded easy wins this year in the Martha Washington
S., Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) and Fantasy S. (G2) prior to the Kentucky Oaks. The
Kentucky-bred will make her New York debut in the Mother Goose, which will be
held around one turn over the expansive 1 1/2-mile oval at Belmont.

Rachel Alexandra has compiled an 11-8-2-0 career record with $1,618,354 in
earnings.
