Two-Year-Old in Training Sale in Ocala, Florida, on Saturday. The gray miss went
two furlongs in :21 1/5 while battling a headwind that increased as the day went
on. Out of four-time stakes winner Prized Package (Zinov), the Illinois-bred
Christmas Package was bought by her consignor, Eisaman Equine, agent, at last
year’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearling Sale for $17,000.
Five juveniles tied for the fastest eight-mile work on Saturday in :10 2/5.
They were: Hip 946, the gray filly TRINITY MILLIONS (Millions) out of Lass Away
(Way West [Fr]) from the same family as champion turf mare Perfect Sting (Red
Ransom) and consigned by Leprechaun Racing, agent; Hip 996, the bay filly PRIME
CATCH (Prime Timber) consigned by Indian Prairie Ranch, agent, and out of Lucky
Lady Lucy (Salt Lake); Hip 1070, the bay colt MINISTER’S APPEAL (Lexicon) out of
the unraced Miss P M (The Prime Minister) from the same family as Grade 2 winner
Honorable Miss (Damascus) and consigned by John Fennessy Stables; Hip 1143, a
dark bay colt by Tiger Ridge out of Notimeforquestions (Lost Code) consigned by
Ocala Stud Farms, agent; and Hip 1144, the bay filly NOW IS THE TIME (Unbridled
Time) out of Notjustanotherbird (Proud Birdie) and consigned by Southern Chase
Farm Inc. (Greg and Karen Dodd), agent.
Hip 1027 breezed the quickest three furlongs on Saturday, posting a time of
:34 4/5. The colt named MCCASKILL’S DANCE (Dance Master) brought $3,500 at
the 2005 OBS August Annual Selected & Open Yearling Sale from his consignor,
Center Stage Farm (Darcy Scudero), agent. The Florida-bred bay is out of the
winning McCaskill (Copelan), herself a daughter of Group 3 victress Bally Bis
(Ire) (Windjammer) and a half-sister to black-type producing stakes heroine Bright
Bliss (Well Decorated).
