Grade 2 winner SIR SHACKLETON (Miswaki) will enter stud in 2007 at
Castleton Lyons near Lexington, Kentucky. The five-year-old was retired
from racing in April after suffering a sesamoid
injury and will stand for $7,500.

Trained by Nick Zito for owner-breeder Tracy Farmer, Sir Shackleton
captured his 2006 debut, the seven-furlong Super S., in track-record
time at Tampa Bay Downs and then finished sixth in the grassy Lure S. on
April 1 at Gulfstream Park in his final career start.

Last year, he set a new track record when landing the Richter Scale
Breeders’ Cup Sprint Championship H. (G2) at Gulfstream Park. In
addition to scores in the West Virginia Derby (G3) and Derby Trial
S. (G3), his resume also includes a second-place finish in the
Woodward S. (G1) along with thirds in the Whitney S. (G1) and
Metropolitan Mile H. (G1). He earned $1,051,500 from a record
of 20-7-2-3.

Sir Shackleton is out of Grade 1-placed Naskra Colors (Star de Naskra).
