INVASOR (Arg) (Candy Stripes), who captured Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup Classic
(G1), will remain in training and aim for the $6 million Dubai World Cup
(UAE-G1) on March 31, it was announced on Monday.

The Shadwell Stable colorbearer ranks as a leading Horse of the Year
candidate, having won all four of his starts in the United States this season.
Competing exclusively in Grade 1 company, Invasor landed the Pimlico Special H.
(G1), Suburban H. (G1) and Whitney H. (G1) prior to defeating Bernardini (A.P.
Indy) by a length in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Beginning his career in South America in 2005, the bay won the Uruguayan
Triple Crown and was honored as that country’s Horse of the Year after a perfect
five-for-five campaign. In his first start since being privately purchased by
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, the four-year-old suffered his only career
loss at Nad al Sheba last March, winding up fourth behind Discreet Cat
(Forestry) in the U.A.E. Derby (UAE-G2).

This week, Invasor will travel to his winter quarters at Palm Meadows in
Florida with the rest of trainer Kiaran McLaughlin’s string.
