The 2007 Barretts January Mixed Sale has cataloged 580 horses to be sold on
January 22-23, 2007, in the Hinds Pavilion on the grounds of Fairplex Park in
Pomona, California. The catalog for the sale is on-line and will be mailed
shortly.
The catalog is divided into 72 horses of racing age, 161 yearlings, 126
two-year-olds of 2007 and 216 broodmares.
The yearlings and juveniles have been sired by such stallions as Benchmark,
Bertrando, Cee’s Tizzy, Devil His Due, During, E Dubai, Formal Gold, Grand Slam,
Grindstone, Gulch, Honour and Glory, In Excess (Ire), Is It True, Monarchos,
Orientate, Peace Rules, Pine Bluff, Pure Prize, Running Stag, Siberian Summer,
Silver Charm, Souvenir Copy, Stravinsky, Valid Wager and Yankee Gentleman.
The broodmares are carrying foals from such sires as Atticus, Benchmark,
Cee’s Tizzy, Decarchy, Devil His Due, Formal Gold, Holy Bull, Lemon Drop Kid,
Point Given, Pure Prize, Salt Lake (GB), Singletary, Slew City Slew and Valid
Wager.
Also featured in the catalog will be the dispersals of Granja Vista del Rio,
The Estate of Jack Grossman, Edward Nahem and Pepper Oaks Farm (Commercial
Division).
