Multiple Grade 1 winner WAR PASS (Cherokee Run), the undefeated winner of the
Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) and the likely Eclipse Award winner for champion
two-year-old male, will stand at stud at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm
near Versailles, Kentucky, upon his retirement from racing.

Owned by Robert V. LaPenta and trained by Nick Zito, War Pass sprinted clear
early, increased his advantage around the far turn, then drove to a resounding 4
3/4-length victory in the 1 1/16-mile Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on a sealed/sloppy
track at Monmouth Park. The dark bay colt captured the prestigious Champagne S.
(G1) at Belmont Park in his previous outing after winning his first two starts
at Saratoga. He has earned $1,397,400.

“We are extremely pleased to have entered into an agreement with Robert
LaPenta on War Pass and are looking forward to seeing this talented colt return
to the track,” Farish said. “I believe he will make a great addition to the
Lane’s End stallion roster when he is retired.”

Out of stakes-placed Vue (Mr. Prospector), War Pass is a half-brother to 1996
Spinaway S. (G1) heroine Oath (Known Fact) and 2004 Raven Run S. (G2) runner-up
Vision of Beauty (Danzig).

His second dam, juvenile winner Harbor Flag (Hoist the Flag), produced 1986
Louisiana Derby (G3) winner Country Light (Majestic Light) and multiple stakes
winner Packet (Polish Navy), the dam of 2005 First Flight H. (G2) and 2006
Gallant Bloom H. (G2) queen Great Intentions (Cat Thief). His fourth dam is
Bayou (Hill Prince), the champion three-year-old filly of 1957.
