The Turf Publicists of America (TPA) has elected three vice presidents and
re-elected its secretary-treasurer to serve the organization for 2014 and 2015,
it was announced Tuesday by TPA President Mandy Minger following the TPA’s Mark
Kaufman Workshop at the University of Arizona Symposium on Racing and Gaming.
Jennifer Hoyt of Oaklawn Park, Rhonda Norby of Equibase Company and longtime
publicist Lynne Snierson were each elected to a two-year term as vice-presidents
of the organization. In an unusual twist, only two vice president spots
were up for election but the three publicists tied for the two available spots.
In addition, Secretary-Treasurer Dave Zenner of Arlington International
Racecourse, who ran unopposed, will serve in that capacity for two more years.
Hoyt, Norby, Snierson and Zenner join Minger and Vice Presidents Sophia McKee
of Emerald Downs and Jim Mulvihill of the National Thoroughbred Racing
Association, each of whom were elected last year to serve a two-year term in
2013 and 2014.
The new slate of officers was installed immediately.
